France said on Wednesday it believed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had immunity to actions by the International Criminal Court which is seeking his arrest for alleged war crimes in Gaza, given Israel has not signed up to the court statutes.

A statement from the French Foreign Ministry said they will continue to cooperate with Netanyahu. This changing stance occurred amid reports that Netanyahu called French President Emmanuel Macron expressing his anger and asking France not to enforce the ICC's decision.
