ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Maverick McNealy guessed that in his mind he had made a putt to win a PGA Tour over a thousand times. On Sunday, the 29-year-old stuffed a 6-iron from 183 yards on the par-4 18th hole at Sea Island’s Seaside Course to set up a 5-foot, 5-inch putt for his first victory at the 2024 RSM Classic.

Playing a tournament in which he made his 100th career cut on the PGA Tour, Maverick McNealy also accomplished a first. McNealy emerged from a crowded leaderboard with a birdie of the 72nd hole of the 2024 RSM Classic to reach 16 under and win his first PGA Tour event over Nico Echavarria,

It took a lot for Maverick McNealy to win his first PGA Tour event at the RSM Classic. Nico Echavarria and Luke Clanton each bogeyed the 18th to forge a four-way tie at 15 under. Daniel Berger missed makable birdie putts on the last two holes.
