Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said on Monday there have been “at least 33” bomb threats in Springfield and he announced troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be dispatched to 18 school buildings for the foreseeable future.

DeWine announced that the Ohio State Highway Patrol will conduct daily bomb sweeps at Springfield schools in response to bogus threats.

The 77-year-old governor told reporters Monday that law enforcement has responded to at least 33 separate bomb threats made against Springfield government offices, schools and medical centers
