Kreider, the Rangers’ longest-tenured player, has found his name in rumors after GM Chris Drury expressed openness to moving key pieces to shake up the roster as first reported by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman on Monday.

Earlier this week I covered the shocking report that the New York Rangers were making serious attempts at trading two of the biggest names on their roster, and it sounds like at least one of those players may not be willing to go down quietly.

New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury sent out a memo to all 31 NHL teams that he is open to trading Kreider. Meanwhile, Kreider missed New York’s Monday night game with an upper-body injury and will not play tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.
