ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Michigan football can’t throw for 210 yards or complete a 40-yard pass through 11 games. And it can barely throw one touchdown per week (11, with one from running back Donovan Edwards). So by basic logic, Michigan can’t beat Ohio State this weekend, right?

After accepting the Los Angeles Chargers’ head coaching job in January, Jim Harbaugh publicly endorsed Sherrone Moore to succeed him at Michigan. Moore, after all, had a distinct advantage on his résumé over other potential candidates: 1-0 against Ohio State as an acting head coach.

While Ohio State enters The Game ranked No. 2 for the umpteenth time, for the first time since 2017, the Wolverines will come into the game unranked and they’re significant underdogs. But Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore doesn’t want to hear about any of that.

As Moore prepares himself, his staff and his players to march into Ohio Stadium as 21-point underdogs, he’s starting with a clean slate.
