Jun 24, 2024. #14. FASA had some interesting 23rd century Federation designs that were built by Andorians, such as the Loknar, Thufir and the (well, yeah) Andor. The Federation's variety of member worlds should be reflected in Starfleet's variety of ship designs. They're not really a Homo Sapiens-only club anymore.

Admiral. Oct 23, 2017. #10. None of the rules have held true against the deluge of new starship types, but the "line of sight" bit was the first to bite dust, with Oberth. Single-nacellers have only played bit parts on screen, but the TOS movies already had those FJ ships in evidence.

The Independence -class is from the late 22nd century period. The Vanguard -class was meant to be the major design before the familiar Constitution -class ships.
