Fact or Fiction? “Bamboo forests are always monocultures with no biodiversity.” FICTION! While some bamboo plantations are monocultures, natural and well-managed bamboo forests can be incredibly rich in biodiversity 🦋 In fact, a recent study in Portugal found over 50 plant species in a bamboo forest that was just 5 years old! Monoculture bamboo systems aren’t sustainable in the long term… but the good news is, you can help by planting bamboo alongside other species to create a thriving bamboo a
