Most people think being blind means total darkness - but that’s a myth. Blindness is a spectrum, and no two people see the same way. In this video, I simulate six different eye conditions to show how vision can vary: 1. Diabetic Retinopathy - patchy, blurry vision 2. Glaucoma - tunnel vision 3. Cataracts - cloudy or foggy vision 4. Macular Degeneration - central vision loss 5. High Myopia - severe blur and retinal risk 6. Today is Rare Disease Day, and I want to take a moment to reflect on Khara’s journey. People often ask if she was born completely blind, and the short answer is yes. But we didn’t know for sure until November 5, 2011, when Khara was diagnosed with Septo-Optic Dysplasia, a rare condition that affects just 1 in 10,000 newborns. This rare disease causes the optic nerve to be underdeveloped, which caused total blindness. She was also born missing part of her pituitary gland and the septum of her bra
