Our kindergartners wrapped up CKLA Unit 3: Underdogs and Heroes! They learned that heroes come in all forms—from storybook characters to the everyday helpers in our community. One class created and performed their own folktales, complete with puppets, songs, and a “bear hunt” adventure! The other classes met real-life heroes—Fire Chief Rodney Dale, Officer Presswood, and Principal Cavanaugh, who also serves as a drill sergeant in the U.S. Army—each reminding students that anyone can be a hero by
